I legitimately feel sorry for all American taxpayers who have allowed their country to be taken over by such a corrupt leader and the literal clown show cult that adores and follows him like sheep to the slaughter..
The reality that the world is living through at this point in history is just downright stupid at every level. The small percentage of Americans appear to be awaking up but apparently they are hamstrung by their corrupt politicians, judges, corrupt supreme court, corrupt media, corrupt Federalist Society, corrupt political structure, corrupt justice system,.
The facts are quite straight forward and show that American corruption has flourished throughout its entire history. America has notably been built on corruption and I’m doubtful that any material societal change is even possible at this point. I legitimately feel bad for the everyday people but, sadly, I believe that it is way too late for America to even hope to save itself.
My concern for over five decades now has been Canada becoming socially conditioned copying the American way of life. I can tell you without hesitation that Canadians are nothing like Americans at our core.
But social conditioning is a very powerful thing and Canada’s reliance on American television (what George Orwell called “the black box on the wall“) news, drama, entertainment, etc. it is not hard to understand why Canada is in the mess that it is in today! A much less serious mess and a mess that can be cleaned up but there literally is no time to waste!
The main mess that we face today rests with what appears to be our own seriously flawed political structure that pits the losing party in what appears to be a no holds barred, all out aggressive assault against the winner of the election. This makes absolutely no sense to me thus I feel that some bazaar mystery has taken place where Canadians actually work to emulate our southern neighbours (to our detriment).
I actually think that Canada’s political system is relatively sound but, as with all systems, it is open to corruption and exploitation and this is what the facts clearly are showing is and has been taking place here in Canada.
We have got to recognize the facts and act to restore the integrity that we, as a nation were renowned for throughout my 77 years as a proud Canadian.
I am reassured to see Canada’s seriously expanded population reflecting the moral values unique to being Canadian but Prime Minister Carney’s Liberal Party didn’t even get a majority in Parliament, meaning that there is opposition plus apathy overriding almost 50% of voting capacity.
I was literally stunned to see that my fellow Canadians could somehow, even remotely, see Mr. Poilievre as a competent potential leader for our country. At 77 I had never voted or belonged to any Party or even followed politics for that matter. I was constantly seeking out new concepts through which to earn and honest living without the education others were fortunate enough to get. But ever since retiring I’ve had the luxury of time needed to take a close look at how things have been working and I am disappointed to have to tell you I don’t like what I see.
Canada has clearly accepted the dramatically flawed American concept of democracy which to me, is showing exactly the level of self-destruction America has brought onto itself reflected by the catastrophic mess that it finds itself today.
Mr. Poilievre (known publicly here in Canada as “Maple MAGA“) can constantly be seen literally using the MAGA playbook, most recently demonstrated by him announce that he had recently spoken with a Canadian woman while traveling through Vancouver’s airport who he has alleged “told him that she was wanting to move to Mexico because Vancouver was so dangerous“. This is a direct plagerisam of Donald Trump’s “they are eating the dogs and cats” scare tactics that he used against Hatian immigrants.
Mr. Maple MAGA, if he had any class and/or integrity whatsoever, would have behaved like Joe Biden when some bigot called President at the time Obama a “Muslim Terrorist“. Mr. Biden, respectfully interrupting her with a polite rebuttal and put an end to the stupidity being presented. Mr. Poilievre’s handling of the matter was classless, dishonest and anything but Canadian!
So let’s set a solid foundation starting with “qualifications” which is something that apparently Conservative Party members observably see as completely irrelevant. Apparently to lead a nation all anyone needs is to be popular which could not be farther from truth and logic.
Despite Mr. Poilievre never having held a job other than getting elected right out of school (popularity contest) and becoming the youngest member of Parliament ever elected and spending two decades becoming the Party’s “Pit Bull” attack dog (which I guess makes you skilled by popularity poll but means absolutely nothing in the real world of business, politics, leadership or responsible citizen).
And after 20 years in that job, his constituents voted him out of office. Now, this is the sum total of this man’s professional career and no rational mind could even remotely think him qualified to accept the roll that our new Prime Minister accepted. And when you see the almost daily masterclass of negotiation skills delivered by our Prime Minister even the deaf, dumb and blind kid playing pinball would have known that he is simply not qualified. And remember, up until Mark Carney stepped up Mr. Poilievre was in a commanding position to win the election.
And for 18 months now all we’ve seen is the pit bull attacking the eminently qualified man that the majority of Canadians voted in to face Donald Trump and the horrendous challenges facing our nation. This is about as serious as it get folks! But the fact that even against the eminently qualified PM Carney the distorted reality of the Conservative Party putting up such a totally unqualified candidate is a serious indictment against the entire Conservative Party who apparently put Party well over country!
I for one, do not want my tax dollars financing some want-to-be-Maple MAGA aspirer who offers literally no qualifications to justify any consideration of becoming the leader of our great nation! I will be happily to debate Mr. Poilievre or any Conservative Party member on the illogic and outright stupidity underpinning their theory and I’m happy to invite any/all Conservative MPPs to attend a public debate with me as a taxpayer because logic and common sense shows just how dysfunctional their thinking is!!
And now we have Mr. Maple MAGA (a self-professed MAGA, choosing to use corrupt American political tactics including lying continually, specifically to badmouth our Prime Minister with a totally false claim about “liberal policies rendering one of the greatest cities in the world, Vancouver, a crime ridden drug infested hell hole“.
As I mentioned, this is a flagrant attempt at employing one of Trump’s key strategies: “they are eating the dogs and cats” and this observable corruption (lying is corrupt) has got to stop. I’ve posted a number of times about Mr. Poilievre’s flagrant lying here on simplycharles.com and I’ve warned about how detrimental his lies are to our country and our Prime Minister at this time of literal war!
Canadian politics is not and should not be dealt with as a winner-take-all game! But it clearly is so to Mr. Poilievre and it is time for his game to stop, for him to find a real job and for us taxpayers to stop paying him (he’s already assured of a huge pension) salary, pension, housing with staff, driver etc.
It is flagrant malfeasance for him and the entire Conservative Party of Canada conduct themselves in this dishonest and distasteful manner and as a Canadian shareholder in Canada I will take whatever steps are necessary to stop him from continuing to do so. I am contacting our media to ask them to arrange a half hour or one hour time slot for myself and Mr. Poilievre (and his associate that interfered with our PM’s negotiations in America) to address what I see as his wilful bad faith in fulfilling the responsibilities of Leader of the Opposition. We cannot accept government paid employees lying to constituents and the Press who wilfully support those lies or we’ll end up on the same manure pile that has formed American politics.
The Conservative Party recently polled showed that “over 50% of their membership expressed that they thought Donald Trump was doing a good job as President of the US“. This one fact alone should tell all Canadians that the Conservative Party is fundamentally incapable of leading this country. They simply don’t “get it” and/or have the qualifications to fill their jobs.!
I have no Party affiliation whatsoever! I couldn’t have cared less if Prime Minister Carney was associated with the Liberals or Conservatives and if everyone else could dissolve their party bias and recognize that the priority is that we are all Canadians first and foremost and that all this Party rivalry should stop immediately. It’s called growing up as a democracy which is apparently not something that we’ve managed to do.
This story of the woman in the Vancouver airport is simply bull shit! Oh, there may have been a woman that he arbitrarily bumped into and entered into a conversation with but the truth dies there! I hope that British Columbia voters are aware of what Mr. Poilievre just falsely announced to the world and someone sues him for defaming what is one of the most beautiful cities in the country if not the world!
They have insulted our country and should be held to account. Canada is a country of integrity and the Conservative Party of Canada along with its Leaders have shown themselves as corrupt. We don’t need an election to shut them up but we need them to shut up as PM Carney navigates our country through this legitimate threat of war.
Had PM Carney not volunteered to run as Prime Minister we would literally be up shit creek without a paddle. Mr. Poilievre’s initial position was to accommodate Trump and “make whatever deal possible” and he has done nothing since PM Carney took command of the threatening position but throw around insulting false allegations asserting that he was “touring the world at Canadian tax payers expense” and that “PM Carney hasn’t made any deals” when he actually made 20 deals on 5 continents in his first 12 months.
Canada has no room for a bad deal and PM Carney has been clear that “no deal is better than a bad one”. The facts have shown us all that Pierre Poilievre is simply not qualified to lead Canada just as his own constituents of 20 years realized that he wasn’t the right person to lead the Conservative Party let alone our country.
And only rigging an election in the heart of Alberta speratists did he win the Party’s Leadership role, something that really says it all about the man, the Party and those foolish enough to hold to some blind loyalty to a Party and put that loyalty ahead of country.
Canadians are running around and carrying on as if there isn’t a war brewing and that will be to their detriment as the war started when Trump entered his second term. He’s well on his way to destroying America and we Canadians can’t allow Mr. Poilievre to help him take over ours!
