I have been following this F-35 or Gripen fallacy for over a year not thanks mostly to Artificial Intelligence on YouTube. I want to state right up front that it is my position that on no terms or conditions should we succumb to the Mafia style blackmail being imposed on us by America.
It is not just the F-35 bad faith deal entered into almost a decade ago, but with respect to any deals having anything to do with America these days under its present administration. We have seen our Prime Minister negotiate dozens of major deals with countries all over the globe since taking office almost a year ago.
Today I want to focus on this F-35 Gripen situation and must disclose upfront that it really has very little to do with fighter jets. My position if asked for would be to drop the F-35s that we’ve ordered but not taken possession of due to the supplier’s inability to deliver them on time and budget.
The F-35 has been proven to be not reliable in freezing temperatures and conditions and we are purchasing these fighters to patrol the arctic. To me that is “case closed” when added to the non-delivery and cost over-runs. Hey, if we’re going to fight on everything with America we might as well fight in court over these three logical points.
America’s testimony that their concerns are about compatibility of these aircrafts although that has already been proven to be false. You simply cannot go into contracts with liars and in this instance that’s all we’ve seen under the present administration on absolutely anything and everything right down to opening a bridge that cost us $4.6 million dollars, half of which was given to America FREE along with half the profits after Canada recouped its investment. The President humiliated himself by opening insisting on grabbing half ownership not even knowing that we gave them half FREE.
So, clearly we cannot go into deals with anyone with this kind of proven trackrecord in backstabbing everybody that they do business with. Take a look at all the countries they are attacking with unlawful tariffs while ignoring their own Supreme Court!
And the deficiencies of the F-35 are so plentiful including but not limited to excessive ongoing maintenance costs, the need for large ground crews to maintain and turn around between sorties, their downtime in cold weather that means they cannot fly half the time in Arctic cold weather, they require specialized landing/hanger space, And then there’s the absolute kiss of death element that shows us that America could refuse to update software on a whim without reason just as they are doing today!
And worse! The F-35’s proprietary software comes with a “Kill Switch” which America could activate at will rendering our F-35s defence aircraft completely inoperable on the spot! Based on what we’ve seen of this President “would you trust this guy with billions of dollars for these airplanes?“. We really have no choice so we should pick our battles, refuse the dozen or so we are considering keeping to keep the devil from our door, but I can tell you nothing is quench the thirst of this tyrant.
Now, on the other side of the equation is the Gripen that costs much less right up front (somewhere around half the price), and its per flying hour costs are about 1/3 of the F-35. The Gripen is designed specifically for Arctic conditions by an arctic ally country. It can land and take off on a frozen stretch of roadway with a small mobile maintenance crew of 3 – 4.
But the major benefit to Canada is that Sweden has offered to have Canada build the Gripen in Canada and bring seven other ally countries ready to place orders of hundreds Gripens, which will make Canada a major military aircraft supplier in the world, not to mention the thousands of permanent high paying career jobs for Canadians.
The Americans have used the alleged “Stealth” of the F-35 as the major reason for going with the F-35, but the revolutionary software and technology that accompanies the Gripen enables it to literally vanish from radar all together and also flood radar with false locators, which in my estimate makes it superior. This has all already proven out in field tests and across the board Gripen came out ahead. They have also lied about the interoperability between the two fighter planes within NATO, but European countries have mixed suites and have no communications interoperability. When someone is lying to you . . . you should never do business on any level with them.
It really is time for Canada to stand up and face what is coming. The President of the United States, supported by the Republican Party and therefore American Republican voters is operating like a Mafia Don as seen in his literal bombing of countries without authority or provocation. He knows nothing about negotiations as his attempt with Zolinski in the Oval Office clearly shows. He ran a real estate developer company that basically laundered Russian unlawful money and consistently paid the trades and vendors pennies on the dollar by threatening to sue them in typical bully ways.
This all started over a year ago with the 51st State dialogue. America is a resource scarce country dependent on Canada to build and sustain itself. They have been trying to pick a fight with us to justify their intentions to “take us over“. There’s an old saying: “follow the money” and if Venezuela shows us anything is that “it’s all about the money” (and resources which bring the money).
In the time that I’ve researched this fighter plane decision there have been numerous articles in which America is seen outright lying though high-priced lobbyists (bribers) and in social media (liars paradise) to influence the outcome of our governments procurement decisions.
So, what I’m saying is that we should serve notice of withdrawing from the deal all together, due specifically to cost over-runs, failure to deliver, and inferior capabilities that were over-sold to us.
Onee you give into a Mafia thug their conduct will continue to degrade and they will come back for more until there’s simply nothing left. Prime Minister Carney knows this and he is buying time during which he is replacing the export sales to America with new buyers whom are snapping up our resources like crazy these days.
The waters are definatley choppy right now. It’s time to put Party Politics aside and stand together as Canadians to fight off this take-over attempt. They lied about Fentinal crossing the boarder from Canada to justify imposing tariffs, and not only the President but his entire cabinet are all guilty of lying to the world and to the American people. who ultimately will pay the cost of this disgusting Mafia-type Family’s corruption.
I would like to ask Canadian Conservatives to stop the aggressive party politics and following America’s lead. I warned Canadians all of my life to stop copying them explaining that we’re being brainwashed by television, news, movies, to be Americns. I’ve never bought into the flawed logic being sold that “America is the best country in the world“, knowing that the true best country in the world is Canada.
I became successful in my career by not getting caught up in other people’s lies and not lying. Oh, I know this is old-world Canada thinking and I’m hoping that we learn from this latest American phenomena, and stop lying. I also feel that we Canadian taxpayers should insist on any govenment official caught outright lying be expelled.
Fortunately and most importantly we have a Prime Minister that brings such impressive tact, strategic foresight, and superior class amidst an horrific attack against our country. I’m a proven negotiator and I am literally amazed by Prime Minister Carney’s skill, vision, and discipline.
It is time for all Canadians to stand together whether Liberal, Conservative, NDP, Green Party and PQ, and put country over everything else.
I have been seriously disappointed to discover that our political system is literally dysfunctional and in dire need of help. Prime Minister Carney is uniquely qualified for the job that the majority of Canadians entrusted to him. The fundamental illogic of any Party being paid large salaries by taxpayers, given a luxury residence with maids, groundskeepers, etc., to have its Leader (who lost the election) fly around the world grandstanding while belittling our Prime Minister is simply unacceptable to taxpayers.
I’ll get back to this in a future blog.
That’s it for today. Feel free to comment as mass awareness on these historic events will shape the world as we know it.
I’m Charles
