Let’s face it. Someone’s got to stand up and stop the nonsense, someone actually capable of leading a country of over three hundred million (300,000,000.oo).
After all, isn’t that why they call the President their “Commander in Chief“?
They (Americans) call America the “Leader of the Free World” and “the best country in the world“!
Why then, can a country, any country, with over 330,000,000 people, not come up with one “worthy candidate“.
I don’t know Hillary Clinton, (I know of her) but as a total unbiased outsider simply absorbing all the information available, I’ve got to agree that she’s lugging considerable “baggage”.
Even with Donald Trump shooting himself in the head by simply being himself, the reality is that despite her surging in the polls, she still has 6 out of 10 Americans that disapprove of her!
With Trump totally flaming out (I’ve always said that there has to be a majority of sane Americans despite having run into far too many Republicans that absolutely convinced me that if I were an American I would have no choice but to be a Democrat).
That said, it is safe to say that “America is literally dissolving before our very eyes“!
The Republican Party is done. It’s drowning and there apparently is no-one in the party that knows how to swim!
They voluntarily gave their party to Trump in what could not even be termed a “hostile takeover“.
He simply walked in, with his obvious limited grasp of the process, and a took the Republican Party, in its entirety, away from them.
They all acquiesced, spearheaded by Marco Rubio who one day called Donald “a con artist“, and then, once out of the race, came out on another day “endorsed the Donald“, and this kind of disfunction filtered right down through to Chris Christie!
I would tend to agree more with Marco Rubio’s earlier definition of Donald (I’ve made my point clear many times here at simplycharles.com) but without the false endorsement.
The shocking thing is that the United States of America, for the first time in its history, is about to vote for “the least disliked between two candidates, both of whom having greater than 60% disapproval ratings“!
Both have serious legal issues facing them that could, or should, render them disqualified to run for the most important job in the land.
Bernie Sanders, I’ve said before, should jump ship and go back to being the “Independent” that he was before agreeing to “Primary” with the Democrats.
With the most recent revelations of the Clinton Foundation accepting contributions from Dictator States, to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, while Hillary was Secretary of State, in my world disqualifies her to become President.
I don’t subscribe to “conspiracy theories” but looking strictly at the alleged facts, the Clintons appear as if they are corrupt!
As someone who has spent almost half his life in America, I can tell you first hand, that Corruption, moral, intellectual, legal, is common place in America.
It’s kind of a way of life, a social characteristic from huge hedge funds to bankers, from politicians to religious leaders, corruption seems to be one of the cornerstones of the American psyche.
So, where would that leave Hillary Clinton?
Well, if things deteriorate for her, I think a Warren/Biden ticket would be an absolute winner for the Democrats.
The result is that either Hillary’s followers would jump on the Warren/Biden train, and Bernie would have his following.
Trump is going to “flatline” somewhere below his current ratings in the polls (his disapproval ratings hit 70% this week), and the Republicans, at some point will have to find a backbone and stand up to Donald, and come up with an alternative, or they are doomed.
The best thing that they could do, (and I said this ten months ago), is accept Donald’s latest threat of “going it alone“, and tactfully, accept Donald’s already presented alternative and give him his walking papers (or watch their Party decimated resulting in losing not only the Presidency, but the Senate and House).
The Republicans are prostituting their own Party due to their lack the integrity to stand up to this totally unqualified, falsely self-promoted spoiled little rich-boy, who’s daddy gave millions of dollars to (or we never would have heard from or about him).
He’s an insult to all salespeople and believe me that’s all he is (a very poor one but a salesman non the less).
Trump should take his followers and the Republican Party come up with their nominee, and take their followers giving the country four political options fighting for the Presidency and then and only then will the people legitimately have some kind of say in their future.
Seven people out of ten disapprove of Trump and six out of ten disapprove of Hillary.
Isn’t that, in and of itself, sufficient to enlighten 300,000,000 people on the future road map of the country.
It’s beginning to look a lot like there is going to have to be a “revolution” restart!
